Uncle Dashan's Storybooks

A series of "Uncle Dashan" bilingual children's books has been published in China by the Foreign Languages Teaching and Research Press (FLTRP). 6 books containing 12 stories in total are currently available in bookstores across China and on the Internet.

Reading traditional children's stories is a popular way for children to learn English in China. These are Dashan's own adaptations of traditional classics, like Goldilocks and the Three Bears or Soup from a Stone, rewritten in clear, modern English and Chinese. Each books is clearly rated according to the level of language difficulty, and comes with a CD featuring Dashan's own narration of the stories.

The books are truly bilingual and can be used by children wishing to polish their skills in either English or Chinese.
